after dinner jon and i went to la jolla cove to watch the sunset, but it was about 7 and knew the sun wouldn't set until 9 so we kept walking.

this is the san diego airport. they have rocking chairs for you to watch the planes.

Anne came over tonight and wanted me to go for a ride. Thinking that was a stupid idea I ignored her. Then I though about it, and decided that I wanted to ride, but not in my cycling gear, I wanted to have no hassles and just get on my bike with what I was wearing, crocs, a krispy kreme t-shirt, and board shorts. I pulled out my good old sugar ( the best bike I have ever paid full price for) and rode it all along the bike path with Anne. It was a pretty evening, there were no thunderstorms that usually show up in the Colorado skies, and it was also about 75 degrees. Perfect weather. It was pretty much a perfect bike ride. It reminded me that riding my bike is supposed to be fun. Maybe I'll get back on it soon and race it again.

this is all chris took to south america for three weeks. wow, that is some packing!!

mom finally found someone to listen to her about knitting. sara was a good student.

jon and i trying to see who can jump the highest. onlookers gracen, perplexed, and jill wondering why would we act like we are 12 years old... we had a great trip back home to houston for the bridal shower. jon and i acted like children in the swimming pool, and on dry land for that matter, and had even more fun playing with the children.

gracen took horsey riding lessons and we went to see the baby horse afterwards. it is 2 months old.

HI EVERYBODY

jon and i arrived in houston to a HUGE rain storm. about five minutes after we took this picture we came out of the storm to sunny skies. funniest thing is it is 104 in boulder and 90 here. who would have thought we would come to houston to escape the heat!

off to waterworld. by the way if you want to know why there are so many tattoo places in the world, well the clientele at waterworld are keeping it alive! we counted 25 people with tattoos in 5 minutes. i am so glad that i never got the silhouette of my first cabbage patch kid, zack, tattooed on my back like my friends were trying to talk me into doing in college. JOKE...

went to the bike race yesterday and did pretty well for having 5 t-mobile girls and 2 world champion cyclists against us local colorado girls. i took home 74 dollars and 2 prizes which include a one year membership to 24 hour fitness, i kept one for myself and gave the other one to anne. so if you need us we'll be in the gym! in this picture we are getting ready to go over to the pool since it is 100 degrees out and we just raced. we got to the pool and found out that someone pooped in it and we couldn't get in for an hour. we were CRUSHED.

alex and syrae and i were on the lawn and yelled at anne (from pretty far away) to come sit with us. so when we yelled at her she didn't know where we were and dropped her kettle corn and then proceeded to roll it over with her bike.

SyRae and I going to run errands on the scooters. We got home right before a big storm. whew.

tammy and john merritt took these photos max in my pamela dupont outfit while i was out and surprised me with them. i guess they had to hold back his arms because he was so into the new him. (i love how big the glasses are in comparison to his nose)

today was not the best day. i decided to grab a big gulp at the conoco, and while there i unluckily overfilled my scooter with gas. i let that slide, but my anger level was rising, after riding the mile home with the big gulp, when i got to the garage to open it with my garage opener key pad my hands were slippery from the condensation on my drink and the whole drink flew up into the air and my scooter toppled over onto the ground. still not a good day. then i decided to fill my oil in my scooter. not learning from my last overfill of the gas, i over estimated the amount of oil it needed and that went all over the garage. thinking my bad luck was now over i went to take a shower. when i got out and was hanging up my towel it fell in the toilet. what a perfect topper offer for a crappy day. i guess i can't complain too much though, everyone is healthy and no one got hurt. another day is tomorrow, let's hope it goes better.

spilled water on my floor just to top off the day when we were running to get the camera to take a picture of the towel in the toilet. if you look closely (next to remotes) you will see katherine zeta, jon's beloved t-mobile xtra huge computer/phone got involved in the mess too.

jon came home late last night from his bend, oregon race. he placed 18th overall and came home with a TON of dirty clothes.

todd and jill told me today that they are adding another kiddo to the bunch sometime in early feb. jill is now three months pregnant. i told them that i would be first to take the baby off their hands if they didn't want it, look at these kids, they are cute, very polite, friendly, and so loving.

kayla, sally (the bride), beth, and shawna. i've know kayla for 25 years, sally for 27 years, myself for 30 years and shawna for 26 years. now there are some great stories between all of us, but some we'll take to the grave.

today mom and i visited ikea to get out of the heat. it was 100 percent humidity and 101 degrees.

some will find it hard to believe, but last night i went bowling with alanis and her crew. alanis won the set and yours truly got the lowest score. she was very down to earth and sweet. hard to believe for a star this big. on another note, i have decided that i am really bad at two sports, surfing and bowling. i just can't get it.  

we all went back stage at the alanis morrisette concert, compliments of leah. from left to right...SyRae, Tammy, Anne, Alanis, Abi, Beth, Paul, and Leah. 

this morning we went for a crusier ride for some moe's bagels. leah was doing some sweet crit moves on the panther.

alanis gave me her extra food, a lot of wheat bread. chamomile tea and some ez mac and cheese.
