jon's family took us out to turley's tonight for his birthday. (i forgot my camera) thanks tarkingtons. i love eating breakfast for dinner, and turley's serves eggs and pancakes all day.

the stazio "worlds" race was today. one of the many races put on by the denver boulder couriers and the tyler hamilton foundation. they do a great job at promoting these. thanks guys.

during the awards we had a stand in for carmen since she had to go cool down with her coach corey hart. (no not the 80's heart throb/singer, the cycling coach.) notice the strategic placement of my helmet. ct much?

on my way to the race i had a very rare mr. turtle sighting. this guy is like 200 years old (embellishment, i have no idea how old he or she is) and 200 lbs. and he lives in a pond by our house. i was going to have sparky go stand by mr. turtle to show his size, but i was scared he would eat her.

the bird at the front door of our house is really laying them. we officially have a half dozen. tammy, i know you are still waiting on your order. only 6 more to go.

today was the deer trail "thunderstorm watch" road race. here are some fun pics from the event.

(joke) turns out it really is my number. i won the women's road race. thanks to sharon and renee we rode like a team, and it paid off. sparky has more picks. (click here)

seriously, he needs to take it down a notch or four. call his p.r. people. ever since oprah (when t.c. jumped on the couch) he has been a bit nutty. i can't stand him anymore. what happened to the good ol' boy from that crazy irish flick far and away, or brian flanagan from the tear jerker movie cocktail?

someone should do the guy a favor and shoot him with a tranq gun ...

last night jon and some of his friends went to celebrate his birthday at la mariposa mexican restaurant.

so on friday thinking that all the snow was over, i planted some flowers. dang it. it snowed, i hope they live.

every morning when i am sitting on the couch watching the today show, sipping my morning brew, and reading the liberal daily camera i see a flash of black at the front door. today i decided to investigate. i saw a bird sitting up there hanging out in our wedding present wreath.

turns out i am going to start selling eggs. $2.50 a dozen. walk ins welcome.

today was the boulder beer road race on part of the classic morgul bismarck race course. it was great, they shut down the entire newly paved road. in this fuzzy pic (sorry) jon is leading the six man break. (he ended up with a strong 4th place finish)

brent and i get in our ready positions for feeding the vitamin cottage boys. notice that we have made our matching vests into halter tops to get the attention of the racers.

sharon and i do a cheer in the feedzone for the racers. apparently part of a good cheerleading jump is making a doofass face in my case, and crazy eyed killer face on sharon.

on a separate note, sharon got 2nd in the women's pro 1-2 race. me 6th and anne 8th. give me a V give me a C.... GO TEAM.

brent had to ride his bike back to boulder with this beer cooler on his back. he is such a trooper.

yesterday we had a team ride and then did loops around washington park. we were like a vitamin cottage billboard on bikes. i would say there were about 2000 people there enjoying the weather, and staring at us since our outfits are a bit LOUD.

here's something that bothers me. ever notice how rollerbladers take up about as much of the road as a car would. they go wide one way, then wide the other way. it is really hard to pass them, you never know when they are going to do a short roller stride or long one. very unpredictable.

jon and i went to the big bicycle colorado gala. jon loves wearing his suit. no really, he does.

went to chez thuy tonight with the girls for dinner. i had the chicken pho, which is awesome. don't waste you time trying to figure out what to get when sifting through the 83 page vietnamese menu. keep it safe and stick with the pho. (pronounced like phone without the "ne")

bridget enjoys her pad thai. after eating all of this we decided to all go to vitamin cottage to buy vitamins and stuff. the vc closed at 8 p.m. so we went to whole foods and found some wonderfully cleansing products.
