someone named sparky won the race tonight. she was in a break with one other girl and played her like a harpsichord.

we made it.

we made it with only 2 minor bicker sessions, 14 bathrooms stops, and $200 worth of 87 octane gas.

the best part of the trip so far is that there is a trader joe's less than a mile away and we drove a big truck to haul crap back.

it's official my last prescribed ride of the season was this morning. i only have 4 races this weekend and we are done my friends. i'm real happy to be done with all the workouts especially the v02 max ones.

the other day i went for a ride with advanced placement alison powers and it all makes sense why i never made it, or will make it to the national level. she's all focused and stuff. our easy ride ended up being my tempo pace and we did it on the boulder bike paths.

in other news:

this was what i saw when i looked out the window this morning. the rack on this bad boy was so big it looked deformed.

it took this young lad only 800 hours to unlock the iPhone. judging from the picture those were 800 continuous hours without food, sleep, sun or basic hygiene.

b n b sealed the deal at keystone ranch this saturday night.

i was honored to read a passage to them. the only speaking part in the wedding besides bride, groom and officiant. sweeeet. i only screwed up a little bit.

tried out the new peet's coffee shop at the very unpopular 29th street mall. the coffee had me amped. i cleaned my house twice today.

first person to name who wore these futuristic tron tights gets a cup of coffee on me. (not anything with foam, syrup or whipped cream, just a cup of plain old coffee, and the guilty tight wearer cannot compete)

everything about this is AWESOME.

anne and i did superflag to gross reservoir today.

this is a great ride to do when you have limited time (2 hours) and want to get in a killer workout. (well...killer for us non-climbers) it is beautiful up there this time of year.

we saw vin down at nobo marketplace. he was wearing two right feet, unmatching, winter/rain shoes tucked into his little man carharts. it was pretty cute.

it's pretty sad when back-to-school items include bullet proof backpacks.

on a side note they are pretty sleek looking. they also start at $175, ouch.

i was excited to get the new velonews in the mail today, but i was much more excited to see our boulder girl mara on the cover!

summit daily news

this weekend was a blast. we had two crits on some george thorogood bad to the bone courses in summit county. here are some pictures from the trip.
