the last day in texas we went on a picnic with griffin.

on our drive home griffin randomly belted out the c and c music factory 90s hit, "everybody dance now" it was pretty funny. i'm guessing he's been listening to his mommy's ipod. i really hope my brother doesn't have that on his ipod.

my birthday present came today. the chariot is a pimp-mobile. i think we bought every attachment you can possibly buy - bike, jog, stroll, and jon is really wanting the skate skiing attachment, but that will have to be his bday present.

does this jersey make me look bloated? 20 weeks today, that's 5 months to you lay folk.

sorry no blogging. seems i have caught the cold that more that half of colorado has already caught. just an interesting tid bit of info, it's hard to blog when you can't breath through your nose. fully functioning nostrils are imperative.

lisa had her baby shower today and she got a ton of cool gifts. everyone's favorite was the pink trek off road trike.

we had this big team ride planned for today. however, due to sickness, pregnancy, skiing and a trip to florida for some it ended up being me (for a little of the ride) and the tie-dye twins. they went into the mountains to do some climbing (jenna uses the secret super powers of her climbers pokadot helmet) and i peeled off towards home to feed my belly. (which i might add is coming along rather nicely)

it's almost that time. the time when i must start wearing maternity jeans. i'm currently wearing my fat jeans cause i grew out of all of my skinny jeans. next up, "mom" jeans.

big things happened at the farkington household this weekend.

jon removed himself from the barstool he has been working at for the past month and i invited him into my office. (we now call it our office, isn't sharing fun)

the bad news is we only have one chair.

jenna and i saw a man with shorts and a neck gator while riding today. really now, i don't know who he was, but will someone get him some leg warmers please.

after the super bowl performance mr. petty looks like he is making a comeback with the younger itunes generation. (a step above the whacked out britney) i've always liked tom's stuff, brings back some good ol' high school memories.

margell and i headed out for lung busting sanitas today and when we got to the top we found our buddy trish. (i guess she ran up the other side and it was just a coinkydink that we saw her at the top)

the girls shuffling back down on ice and snow. luckily i wore some polar cleats but another great way get away with ice hiking/running is making yourself a special screw shoe. (check it out, it's pretty cool)

the why bother florentine at vic's is deelish.

definition of why bother: any of a series of closely related and supposedly rather pointless lattes revolving around the decaf skim theme. the ultimate would be a decaf triple venti skim latte or something along that line, but you get the general idea.

i am making chili for the super bowl and cutting onions makes me cry. so i googled how to stop this, one way is to wear swim goggles, and the second way is to put two unlit matches in your mouth. (i guess the sulfur absorbs the onion fumes or something like that)

i forgot to wear this while i cooked up my chili but i think it's real funny. my mom got this right when microwaves came out in the 80's. it is pretty awesome and she has lovingly passed it down to me. (a family heirloom if you will)

my super bowl 3 meat/2 bean chili quite tasty. i kinda made it up as i went, so i have no recipe to share.

yesterday was a pretty fast girl's ride. we meet on saturdays at vics on broadway - 10:30 (late people get left behind - sorry no boys). the great thing about the ride is everyone knows that i am pregnant and is totally overprotective and i never have to go to the front. i love it.
