camera phone picture from my epic 1.5 hour walk today. i had no prior training for this walk so needless to say i was limping from sore hips by the time i got home. it is walks like these that make me realize how much i really really do love to ride my bike.

shippy, amy, tim and chellie and i decided to preride koppencrap today. (i did marshall rd since i'm saving my legs for next years koppencrap) anyway, we decided to meet at 11:30, and wouldn't you know it...

right at 11:30 almost on the dot the wind picked up and made the ride oh so annoying.

to beat the monotony of riding trainers at their own homes the girls came over and rode in our living room. i sat, watched, and chatted with them instead of joining in. sometimes it is fun not to have to ride since i have a real good excuse.

for some reason amy thought this sounded appetizing. i noticed she got real quiet about half way through her meal. i think she was beginning to feel the effects of the "chef's choice" of meat because when i tried it i was thrown back to elementary school when they served us horse in the cafeteria.

after a fun day of watching races at cu research park the tarkington family met up for some spiral ham and hard boiled eggs. here's sara and jon acting all grown up and jon not making a stupid face for the camera.

jon and i helped out mentoring the flatiron flyers today. jon kept rollin' them around in this parking lot to work on starting, stopping, and cornering, but what you can't see is the h.s. kids making out in the car as we rolled around the lot. guess they picked a bad place for make out central.

i've been sick with something fierce for a week now.

lisa and derek strong had a little baby girl named lucy today. (here's a good pic of the left side of lisa's face and lucy checkin' stuff out) it only took her 3 days to come out, i guess she was comfortable. VC baby #1, VC baby #2 is kicking me right now.

dang, there was some serious drama down the street.

my lunch, since i feel like arse and i am sick again, consisted of a tall glass of electrolytes and a cadbury egg.

sparky came for a visit this weekend and got in some good training with the tie-dye twins.

this movie is real funny. kinda a new zealand version of napoleon dynamite.

tonight we went to sherpas to celebrate jenna's 24th birthday. carol and jenna are so excited about their over sized rudy project sportmasks and flashy 1990 prince inspired batman shirts that they decided to wear them out for a night on the town. nice choice girls.

2 weeks until little lucy is due and lisa is still working hard painting our bedroom. (w/ bluetooth in ear)

andi, her assistant and head person in charge of lifting heavy objects. she's real famous, you may recognize this tough girl from her recent ads in velonews.

psa: don't wash your cycling clothing with dirty rags from the garage you've cleaned your bike with for countless years. even oxy clean couldn't get this crap out.

today c-ray and i road our bikes a whopping 20 miles to the glendale olde girls rugby game. of course our buddy amy root and her team won, they never lose. c-ray modeled quite the getup during the game and was all about getting in quality chamois time for the upcoming season.

i totally forgot to blog this last week. so jenna and carol came over to get some stuff at my house and i kid you not showed up in matching tie-dye dead dog t-shirts AGAIN. hopefully soon there will be a team bbq and at that bbq these may accidentally end up in the coals.

last night we went to the alanis concert. it was really a matchbox poopie concert, but we saved ourselves and left after the first song. i really am not a fan, nor am i a fan of their fans.

leah ran up on stage and changed out microphones for alanis a bunch of times, but every time i would try and get a shot of her the lighting people would turn out the lights on me. it was a cruel joke.

root and c-ray thought ahead so they didn't have to get up and buy another beer in the middle of the show. there were 6 of us total. (abi, paul and jon not pictured) we were sitting in the middle of an aisle with a girl with a broken leg on one side of our group and then some really immobile folks on the other side of our group. it was hard to decide which way to get up and exit every time we wanted to leave. (btw that's 28 dollars worth of beer in their hands plus 2 dollars in tips...ouch)

yesterday leah and i took some serious rock star dogs (no really, they are rock star dogs) on a hike up the emmy award winning helen hunt trail in the springs.

my friend leah is visiting on business and had a free day today in colorado springs so i jetted on down here to hang with her.  we are staying at the broadmoor which is really nice and they went above and beyond by putting my initials on all the towels and soap products.

more blogging tomorrow when i get home cause i forgot my download cord and believe it or not in this over the top hotel they don't have wireless!

tonight jon and i went to our first movie together since napoleon dynamite. although semi-pro is not nearly as good as our last movie date, it was semi-good.
