i started going to boulder boot camp yesterday with my friend cyndi. much to our surprise boot camp has nothing to do with shoes or even boots for that matter.

friday night we met up with a lot of our fellow racers (opponents) to have an end of the year soiree at lakeside amusement park. it's the 3rd annual and is becoming quite the scene.

anne killin' it off the front with the enemy. we really like colorado bike poo as people and all, but they keep beating us. not yesterday though, anne pulled off a 3rd place for the team.


after the criterium we had what we called a tailgate party, but there was no tailgate involved.

i now know why sam has a sunburn on his head. thanks babysitter carol. (don't freak out grandparents, i'm only kidding.)

we walked to pearl street today just to get out. it's been raining for two days straight and no one got any exercise during those two days. we walked all the way to tee and cakes for a cupcake.

i attempted to ride my townie bike today. i got as far as pumping up the deflated tires before it started raining.

i'll try again tomorrow, but i think the forecast calls for more rain.

the view walking home was beautiful however sam cried because he slept through dessert.

vic's is so packed with the "cool crowd" on sundays that jon and i have to resort to camping out by the liquor store entrance.

last night was the wedding of the year for the vitamin cottage team. tim and carol (couple on left) tied the knot at a castle on top of a hill in castle rock. jenna and mallen (on right) were the best woman and man. (or whatever they call it in weddings these days) carol's dress was real pretty, but of course you can't tell from the picture.

we fit sam into his best circa 1977 polyester man suit. (see jon's baby pic below) little did we know the man suit had a plastic lining and he kinda sweat and stuck to the inside. needless to say he screamed and cried when we removed it and it was stuck to his fresh belly button. it really hurt to see him cry so hard. anyway, he's better now, lesson learned though.

today i got out for a hike with chellie and ruby the dog. for the first time in a while i didn't feel like keeling over and dying after the stair step accent on the ridge trail. i think my hemato-crap is slowly coming back up.
