well, i shouldn't have made fun of jon for packing at 10 p.m. at night when he has to leave for a big stage race the next morning. now it is 10 p.m. at night, i leave for my hood river oregon stage race at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning and look what i found. A BROKEN CARBON FIBER SEAT POST. not good, but... 

here is the new seat post jon donated to my cause. now that is true love, he now has no seat post on his bike and is going to have to find one tomorrow. 

it hailed rained and stormed today so again we decided not to race 

so i woke up and saw this today. one of these is not like the other, remember that sesame street song, well. that one of these is us in our dorked-out cycling gear.  

anne forgot her cycling shoes so instead of racing we ate kettle corn on the couch in our shammy.  

with jon out of town bridget and i have been hitting the town. here we are eating sushi. the pearl st. mall was so crowded today because of the 10K bolder boulder which happens on monday. i am not doing it, i have a bike race to win. well, at least i hope to win.

we had dinner at anne and mark's place tonight. big news is that anne can actually cook.

i got my nails done today. first time since high school prom. it was a scene right out of dumb and dumber when jim carey gets his toes done and they are sanding it down with an electric sander.

it is 10 p.m. at night, jon leaves at 5:30 in the morning. he is still not packed. He is leaving for a big bike race in utah this weekend while i stay home and race here. www.tourofutah.com his team, vitamin cottage, should do really well and gobble up a lot of money from the sponsors.
