playdate #8 (snowday)
since the roads are treacherous and it has snowed (at this point) 17 inches in boulder playdate person #8 was understandably snowed in. sam and i ventured out in the blizzard for about a thirty minute walk but for the most part there has been a lot of book reading and little einstein watching.

playdate #7
superstar cyclocross racer amy d. and sam share a veggie fry. by the end of this playdate amy had mr. sam running into her arms giving out kisses. i could see the horror on her face thinking sam was going to give her a cold before the weekend races, don't worry, we think he is safe.

playdate #6 (part 3)
melinda and laney came over for a visit and we went to noodles for dinner. laney was so good and ate all of her spaghetti and meatballs while sam threw his pan fried noodles at the window to watch them stick.
Playdate #6 (part 2)
today trish and little bike racer grammy came over for a fun time. sam actually called grammy by his name instead of calling him baby. (he calls everyone under 4 feet baby)
Playdate #6 (part 1)
diane and whimsicer (forgot the dog's name) met us this moring at the house and we had an icy cold walk up to vics. sam loves picking the dog's nose.

playdate #5

today sue and leah (sam kept calling her baby) came over to help while jon and joe (sue's husband) raced cross in the blizzard. we made the stupid mistake of actually going to the race to watch...it was quite cold, and we only lasted about 30 minutes. having leah around was awesome, i'm pretty sure sam is going to sleep really hard during his afternoon nap.
playdate #4
playdate #4 came down with a cold, (suzanne, and let's hope she feels better and it isn't the swine flu) so sam got a little out of control and started climbing on stuff to rebel. since the incident the coloring easel has been removed from the living room.

Playdate #3
carol and sam pose by the 1974 SILVER ST_EAK motor home down the street from our house. (yes, it is for sale) carol drove me downtown to my dr. appt. today and i must say she is a VERY good driver. i didn't have to yell at her one time. i don't know if she knows how big of a deal that is, but everyone that knows me well knows i get annoyed by poor driving. (i.e. too slow, too fast, too close to the car in front, driving in the fast lane slowly, speeding up to stop signs... the list goes on and on)
nurse took the bandages off my neck and the cut is healed and looking good. you can hardly see it. (phew)

Kendra and Alex came over and we walked to pearl street. the kids played, ate some rocks, and the moms pushed the matching over-sized strollers into under-sized stores.
