the family took a trip to san diego to surprise the madre (or as sam calls her, macgo). the padre helped us plan the whole thing and so far it has been a wonderful change from the snow of boulder.

sam, trish, and grammy reading a book about trucks. trish and i do a babysitting trade-off. i watch grammy and sam and she goes for a run and then we switch. it is awesome, and the kids play really well together.

the weather has been crazy/awful. this is just about the only "outside" time sam gets all day long. thankfully jon is a very slow and tedious shoveler.
