carmen and sharon before the race.
little do they know that the women's race would be littered with stupid crashes and one of them being our carmen going for the "W" (win). she was sitting second wheel when the girl in front of her lost her chain and flew back into carmen, and then another girl flew into her from the back. this all happened within 1K of the finish so she should maintain her 8th place position.
as for sharon, she got top 10 and i was just happy that someone told me my wheel was rubbing on my chainstay on the first lap and not the third lap. i had to get off on the hill and fix it and then catch back on. other than that, i felt like i had some great legs, and was happy with my race.
