we started our trip to phoenix for valley of the sun at 8:30 this morning and got to the edge of town right at 5:15, just in time for phoenix traffic. not fun after a long day in a purple minivan.
here are a few of the sites...
stopped in quartzsite today. where i stopped with maggie on a 24 hour phoenix new year's trip during college 10 years ago. on that trip we saw a man dressed like Jesus hauling a HUGE cross down the road. maggie and i still talk about this town, (she even made me a SAVE QUARTZSITE t shirt for my bday) and for good reason it is a strage town.
here is a pic of the skyline there, it is a bunch of mobile homes and that's about it.
other fun things about our trip is that potato chips and bananas not only look good and create this fun character, carlos, but they taste good together too.
