after a 2 hour spin and a short stop at the cool coffee shop muddy waters, jon decided it would be a good idea to do this 22 minute loop through the hills above our house as a circuit race with the rest of the campers. we were put into two teams of three, it was really hard, i thought i tore my quad in half attacking up mariposa one time, but i'm fine, it realy hurt, did i say that already? collination and andy (links on the side) should have a full report written up on it for all to read. the pic above is a google maps image of some of the roads we were riding on. it was a lot of climbing for a flatlander.
in other news, sparky is seen here sporting her purple vc colors at the lipton tea mixer at the mclane pacific criterium. check out her blog on the right for more info on the race.
jon and i have one more day here and then it is back to boulder. we are excited to get back and get to racing stazio. i don't know what it is, but i love that race. (it could be the faint aroma of garbage hanging in the air.) anyway, we are going to miss living it up in montecito, but we must move on, and we are about tapped out on the training for a bit.

I love the Tea Mixers. I asked Lara at the star of the race if she had iced tea in her bottles... she said yes.
