the start of our hike today on the Iowa Hill Hydraulic Placer Mine in breckenridge. it was a trail that led us around to different parts of turn of the century placer (hydraulic) mining history.
sam is serious about his hiking. this was a 1.2 mile loop (at 10,000 ft) with 310 feet of climbing and he only made us carry him a bit on the way down. i don't mean to brag and all, but oh well.
