syrae and i did the gold hill loop yesterday, and upon arriving at the top we found that the general store sells carmel and bit o honeys for 1 cent. so, we bought a lot of candy
after our mini break we decided to hit lick skillet. i've been told never to go this way on a road bike, but we were feeling kinda crazy and did it anyway. the gold hill general store lady told us to walk our bikes down... yeah right and ruin our cleats! (it is steeper than the photo portrays)
so we rode it, and it isn't bad at all. it is really steep, but only lasts a mile and your hands only hurt for about 2 minutes of the decent.
we then stopped at amante for a coffee after our big adventure. we ordered, and they immediately started making our drinks while we were fishing around for money, but only had candy in our pockets. so we bartered our penny candies for 2 double espressos. quite the deal, and the boys behind the counter were excited about bit o honeys.
later that night we went to erin's bachelorette party. we hit local boulder favorite, the med and then they went to the rio afterwards. i went to bed. i'm too old for the rio.
