That's soooo cool. You'll have so much fun. NY City is the best.

The neighborhoods in the uptown area are nice just to wander through & a good destination is Cafe Lalo (as seen in "You've Got Mail")...don't worry, it's not too touristy. Yummy breakfasts & a pretty hopping bar/espresso/dessert place at night.

Check out the Empire State building, ride the elevator to the top...but do it late at night. The lines are short and the view of the city at night is *awesome.*

Best (& free) way to see the Statue of Liberty is to ride the Staten Island ferry to/from Staten Island. Once again, it's cool to be around the locals doing their daily thing *and* see the Statue, too.

Shoe shop in Greenwich Village...shop after shop of seriously crazy shoes.

There's a ferry that goes to/from Hoboken/Weehawken...cool little place...recommended food: Chart House (seafood restaurant), amazing view of NYC from there.

Have a great time!

Eat sushi

Run in Central Park at 5am

See a show on Broadway - Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked,...

Get fresh bagels in the morning - I swear they're the best there b/c of the water
