today i did my bi-montly run up sanitas. well, i guess i didn't really run, but kinda run/hike, maybe one would call it a quick jaunt... anyway i inadvertently wore my krispy kreme t-shirt. a lot of other hikers made fun of it.


that's all i got. it was a slow day.

the boulder rez cross race didn't disappoint. the boys made another super tough course for us to dig deep into the cave of pain. is it just me, or do you people have to talk yourself into another lap every time you go past the start/finish? this is just such a painful sport.

little elie stared at me the whole time i was eating lunch yesterday. it made me a little uneasy. she's got real big eyes, and she doesn't believe in blinking them.

just got back from veloswap. i love veloswap cause you get to see all your friends in normal clothes instead of lycra. oh, and i love the sweet deals too.

here's my question/rant for the day:
why is it that super targ has 86 check stands but only has 4 of them open? come on super targ, let's step it up.

this pumpkin looks like it needs some strong antibiotics.

becky and i did the royal arch hike in boulder today. i call it royal pain in my arse. it was a lot of vertical, but well worth it once we got to the top. (and to answer your question, no, i didn't have to go pee, i didn't want to copy becky and put my hands on my hips)

the arch was real big, and there were a lot of people there for a thursday afternoon. don't these people work?

i brought expired pepper power on the hike today. good thing cause we saw bear scat. (i think? does anyone know what bear poop looks like)

my nephew ryno keepin' it so very real in diapers, a tigger hat, and shiny gold chains while bassing out to veggie tales.

i am can't stop watching the malibu fire coverage on fox news. i went through 2 of these things. the first one in 1993 when we were evacuated to a woodland hills hotel and the second one in 1996 where i evacuated myself to a raging frat party (too bad i don't have pictures of that, but i've got the memories).

first team ride of the year (sans preggo lisa). we have our priorities straight, one hour chasing anne up a hill, and then off to the coffee shop.

sparky puts some voodoo spell on carol while jenna has none of it.

after the ride anne and i did the boulder racing cyclo cross race. um, ouch that hurt (as in lungs bleeding hurt). anne did great placing 4th. margel, sara, and i were all together somewhere in the 10s-ish maybe?


becky (the old college swimming buddy has funny commentary on her blog) and me before the big super fast start. this was becky's first cross experience and she did great in the women's open race. i'm pretty impressed.

i went for a ride with sparky and amy (the chamois wearer of many teams).

after our ride we went to pekoe tea house and then i needed to go to ideal market for some sushi. i always feel really weird going in any supermarket other than vitamin cottage when i am in full kit. this time around i borrowed one of amy's super small velo bella jackets to avoid looking dumb. (hum, i still managed to look dumb)

but...not as dumb as this girl we saw in the middle of boulder creek today. this pic was taken right by the high school. what is happening to our youth today? let this be a lesson to everyone, drinking and school never mix.

and in other news, our house in east boulder is still for sale, and i think i am going to rent it out. if you are interested drop me a line in the comments section. it is big and beautiful. like star jones before the surgery.

my vote for the best group ride in boulder. it's so much fun to go to world championship cross practice.

looks like there is "4 bars" at the corner of our street. honestly neighbor dude, if you read this blog, just get yourself a comcast hook up. you are out there everyday and it has to be getting old.

wonder what you will do when the snow starts falling.

just a good rule to keep under your hat for a rainy day. don't celebrate the next rockies' win on top of a police car.

i spent a good portion of yesterday organizing our house. (well, it may not look organized but what you don't see is the labeling.) and yes i do collect boxes (on the top shelf) i don't know what my problem is. it's very hard for me to part with a them.

just in case i forget where to put my cleaning supplies.
