the "fishing" cabin that jon's grandfather built received a much needed tummy tuck and eye lift...the thing is getting some much needed plastic surgery. the new trex deck and paint really helped spruce up the place.

the view from the deck is of the south platte river.

babysitter #1 enjoys a sleeping baby, a good book, and a bag of popcorn.

babysitter #2 and baby taking a cat nap before going to the gravel pit to shoot guns.

babysitters #3 and #4 hanging with baby after getting a surprisingly good night of sleep. they thought sam would scream and cry all night, but sam was a perfect sleeper. in fact this was the first night that he slept 6 hours.

mom and baby enjoying the zero gravity chair and a view of the south platte.

jon isn't shooting his father at the gravel pit, but this picture sure does look like he is. safety first kids.

what??? jon and i actually go to ride our mountain bikes together while all babysitters combined forces and watched mr. sam. it was awesome.

sam's first bike ride. i think he was confused when we didn't go on an african safari since that seemed to be his dress theme.

headed out on the gravel road. i can't wait until we can actually take him out on the bike paths of boulder.

overall the weekend was great. jon got to go out hunting every night and morning. he saw 2 elk, but was hunting for the elusive deer with his manly hunting bow. i got in 3 mountain bike rides, 2 leisurely strolls and 2 hikes. thanks babysitters for a good time.

wow the "cabin" looks awesome. i hear the improvements were initiated so the naturphobic daughter-in-law would actually stay there :))
you're kid is so ridankulously cute.

Ha - Jon not only looks like he's shooting his dad, but his dad must be a giant!

And do you really think Sam is ready for a bike ride in the Chariot? I thought you were supposed to wait until 8 months?

that ride was MUCH slower than most people can run!

Dear B Fisk:

I am a representative of Trex and wanted to take the opportunity to comment on the Trex deck. I am sure your Trex deck will provide many years of service, durability and is beautiful as well. Great Job!
